How to Reach from Cebu to Bohol
One of the best ways to travel from Cebu to Bohol is by fast ferry. It is a 2-hour trip to Bohol. There are two major ferry companies operating in the Cebu-Tagbilaran route – Ocean Jet and SuperCat.
You must book tickets in advance from the company or organization. If you have a one week trip in Cebu, we would suggest starting from Bohol. Land at Cebu airport and sail to Bohol.
One Day in Bohol – Travel Guide
Start from Tarsier Sanctuary: On reaching Tagbilaran, take a motorcycle, tricycle, hire a jeepney or hop on a bus to Island City Mall. Again, take a bus from Island City mall to Sikatuna. Ask the conductor to drop you at Tarsier Sanctuary. You can easily travel by public transport, it’s safe and affordable.
Visit Loboc Church: After spending an hour at the sanctuary seeing the smallest monkey, Tarsier, leave for the next tourist spot. Go to the same bus stop, take the same bus and get down at Loboc to visit the famous Loboc Church. If you reach the church before 11:00am, take a few pictures outside the church and go inside to pray. In case you are late, first go for the Loboc River Cruise. The river cruise is 15-20 minutes from the church.
Go for Loboc River Cruise: The boat start from Loboc Tourism Center, located opposite to Loboc Church. You will have to cross the road and a bridge from where you can see the boat-restaurants. The river cruise remains open till 3:30pm and the first check-in starts from 11:00am for the boat that sails at 11:30am. By that time, you can eat something at the restaurants. There are some other eateries too. You can also go for a River Cruise, the most common and famous one is Village Cruise. It will cost 450 pesos per person but the amount is worth spending for the amazing experience. You will spend around one and half hour at Loboc River Cruise including lunch.
Explore the ruins at Loboc Church and move to Loboc Eco-tourism Adventure Park: Located only at a short distance of 3 kilometers, this eco-tourism adventure park is indeed the best part of your Bohol tour. You can either walk to the adventure park or take a bus towards Carmen and get down at Loboc Eco-Tourism Adventure Park. However, the best way to reach the park is on a motorbike.
Go Zip-lining over the Loboc River: Enjoy zip-line over the Loboc River. It will cost around 350 pesos per person.
Head towards Chocolate hills: Reach the highway and hop on a bus going to Carmen towards the North. Get down at Chocolate Hills, one of the must see sites in Bohol. You will find a bill board on the road, wake for around 10 minutes from this point until you see a ticket office. You can also take a motorbike or tricycle to the ticket counter. It will cost you 25-80 pesos based on the transport you choose.
Spend a few hours at Chocolate hills: The entry ticket to Chocolate Hills is 50 pesos each person. If you are there on time, watch the spectacular sunset. Try reaching around 5:00pm in the evening or if you have reached early, stay till 5:00pm to allure the sunset. On the way you can also see the hanging bamboo bridge.
Return to Tagbilaran: Post sunset, take a bus directly to Tagbilaran and have dinner in the capital city of Bohol. It will take around 2 to 3 hours to the city.
